When you visit Athena’s website at www.athena.dk, we collect information about your business. Below you can learn what we collect and what we use the information for.
What information do we collect?
Generally, we ask only for your contact information when you sign up for our courses, events, newsletters, ordering brochures or when you want to be contacted by a consultant. For this, we typically ask for your name, company name, address, phone number and e-mail address. We regularly undertake user surveys on the website – they can both be anonymous or require contact information.
Information is collected in two ways:
- Through tracking
- Through cookies
Registration for our services and ordering of material on www.athena.dk is voluntary. Your personal information is only used internally in the company; to provide a better service to our customers and site visitors. Information and log files will not be passed on to third parties, just as we don´t store information on people who have unsubscribed services with us.
Why do we use cookies?
We use cookies to learn about our users. Through cookies, we record demographic information and statistics on users behaviour, including the number of bytes sent and received, time spent on the site, browser type and version, IP numbers, most visited pages, etc. We use these data to customize our website so our users get easy access to data that matches their interests.
Protection of your personal data?
According to the "where" to your personal information remains secure and confidential. We keep your personal data securely in our datacenter located in the National Bank's former deposit, far below ground and entrenched behind a half a metre thick steel door: here is your personal data safely protected against hacker attacks and theft.
Access to personal data from www.athena.dk is limited to a small circle of Athena’s employees.
Athena, however, does not guarantee 100% security of data transmissions over the Internet. This means, that there is a risk of a third party gaining access to your protected data when it is transmitted and stored electronically. You send your data on your own responsibility. Athena cannot take responsibility, if a third party uses your contact information to register itself with.

On www.athena.dk there are links to external Web pages. The content on these Web pages should not be identified with Athena. Athena assumes no responsibility for the abuse/use of personal identifiable information to external Web pages. What is a cookie?
Taken from Wikipedia: A cookie is - in computer terminology - the term for data received from a Web server that is stored on the client, i.e. the browser, and later again handed to the Web server.
Cookies can be used positively, to help to the user when he returns to the cookie-issuing Web site, but will be of many sites used to collect more or less personal user information, for example, can be used for advertising and more.
Cookies are as a rule deleted from the client itself, when the browser is closed. However, they can also be set with an expiration date, by with the data is saved for a longer period. Since a cookie is located on the client, it is always possible for users to view, change, or delete these cookies.
